Minburn Communications and Aureon Support New Shell Building in Perry
The Perry Economic Development welcomed state dignitaries, community partners, developers and media representatives to commemorate the completion of the new 30,000-square-foot speculative industrial warehouse shell with a ribbon cutting. Located in the Perry Industrial Park, construction began on the new spec building in April 2018 and is now available for an occupant to customize the interior as needed.
Zoned as Light Industrial and designated as a Certified Site by the State of Iowa, Perry Economic Development worked directly with the State by utilizing state programs to help make this a facility a reality. At current state, this is the only new construction, Certified Site warehouse shell available in the state of Iowa that has not yet been committed to any organization for occupancy.
Lt. Governor Adam Gregg shared a few words about the overall impact these industrial spaces have on our state. Additionally, Debi Durham, Director of Iowa Economic Development Authority; Linda Wunsch, Executive Director of the Dallas County Economic Development Alliance and Sven Peterson, City Administer of the City of Perry also provided comments to the group.
Located off Highway 141 at the eastern edge of Perry, the Perry Industrial Park is comprised of 151 acres. The Park is a short 25-minute drive from Interstate 35 and Interstate 80 and only 40 minutes from downtown Des Moines Iowa. Neighboring tenants include Percival Scientific, ITC Midwest, and Hy-Line International.
Minburn Communications successfully secured a $300,00 grant through the USDA Rural Economic Development Loan & Grant Program to support this project. Both Aureon and Minburn Communications contributed $30,000 in matching funds to raise the total loan to $360,000. Loan repayments will go into the Minburn Communications Revolving Loan Fund to support future projects.
