Cambridge is Growing

Cambridge residents have been enjoying the new 9,750 sq. ft. city center. This
multi-functional building houses the Cambridge city hall and offices, public library,
and a 6,000 sq. ft. community room. This public meeting space is equipped with
a commercial-grade kitchen that can hold events of up to 250 people. Huxley
Communications applied for a Ripple Effect grant and matched Aureon’s $5,000 to
provide $10,000 for the project’s architectural services. The nearly $2 million project
became a reality with a combination of funding sources including tax increment
financing, county financing, the Story County Community Foundation, Union Pacific
Railroad Foundation, and others.

A breakdown of the individual areas by square footage is as follows:

Library = 1,273 sq ft

Community Center Areas = 1,559 sq ft

Basement = 1m480 sq ft

Outdoor/Exterior Areas = 3,124 sq ft
