Community Planning Grant Awarded to City of Wyoming
The Little Eagles Nest Learning Center sits in the shadow of the Midland Middle and High School building in Wyoming, Iowa, a literal and figurative first step towards a quality education in the northwest Iowa town. The city-owned facility, which opened in 2011, provides daycare for nearly 40 Wyoming-area children ages six weeks to five years.
This dream was supported with a $1,200 Ripple Effect community planning grant and a matching grant from Wyoming Mutual Telephone Company to the City of Wyoming to produce marketing brochures, fundraising signage and advertising for specific fundraising events. Construction was supported by a Community Development Block Grant.
