City of Colo Receives Ripple Effect Grant For Housing Subdivision Planning and Engineering
Aureon has announced that the City of Colo is the recipient of a $5,000 Ripple Effect planning grant for the pre-development costs and planning assistance of a new housing subdivision in Colo. The city will use the grant proceeds to help defray the cost of the planning and engineering services required for the housing development. The Ripple Effect grant was applied for and matched by Colo Telephone Company, the city’s full-service telecommunications provider to make a total of $10,000 available for the pre-construction project costs. The remainder of the cost will be provided by the City of Colo and private contributions. A check presentation will be held on Friday, December 2, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Colo City Hall.
“The Ripple Effect grant, in addition to our company’s $5,000 match will assist the city with the development costs of the new subdivision. We are pleased that we could apply to Aureon for their grant to help with the planning of this very important development for the community” says Larry Springer, General Manager of Colo Telephone.
