Winnebago Cooperative Telecom Association Receives USDA and Ripple Effect Grants

Aureon has announced that Winnebago Cooperative Telecom Association (WCTA) is the recipient of a $30,000 Ripple Effect grants for one-half of the company's match requirement for its recent USDA grant award of $300,000. The Ripple Effect grant was matched by WCTA. The news comes after USDA awarded the independent telecom a $300,000 grant.

Neola Development Group Receives Planning Grants

Aureon has announced that Neola Development, Inc. is the recipient of a $1,500 Ripple Effect planning grant for a Community Elderly Housing Study to determine the feasibility of developing additional senior housing in the community. The application was made to Aureon by Walnut Communications on behalf of the Neola Development board of directors.

City of Colo Receives Ripple Effect Grant For Housing Subdivision Planning and Engineering

Aureon has announced that the City of Colo is the recipient of a $5,000 Ripple Effect planning grant for the pre-development costs and planning assistance of a new housing subdivision in Colo. The city will use the grant proceeds to help defray the cost of the planning and engineering services required for the housing development. The Ripple Effect grant was applied for and matched by Colo Telephone Company, the city's full-service telecommunications provider to make a total of $10,000 available for the pre-construction project costs.

City of Cascade Receives Ripple Effect Grant for Hotel Feasibility Study

Aureon has announced that the city of Cascade is the recipient of a $2,625 Ripple Effect planning grant for a hotel feasibility study. The city will use the grant proceeds to help defray the cost of the study to be conducted by Patek Hospitality Consultants headquartered in Sussex, Wisconsin. The Ripple Effect grant was applied for and matched by Cascade Communications, the city's full-service telecommunications provider to make a total of $5,250 available for the study. The remainder of the cost will be provided by the city of Cascade.

City of Westside Receives Ripple Effect Grant For Eugene Koch Memorial Project

Aureon has announced that the Westside Economic Development Group (WE DO) is the recipient of a $500 Ripple Effect planning grant for the Eugene Koch monument project to be located in the city's Westside Veterans Park. WE DO will use the grant proceeds to help pay for engineering services provided by JEO Consulting Group out of their Carroll office. The Ripple Effect grant was applied for and matched by Western Iowa Networks, the full-service telecommunications provider in Westside, to make $1,000 available for the project. A check presentation will be held on Tuesday, August 30 at 10:00 am at the project site.

Fort Dodge Community Foundation Receives Ripple Effect Grant for Warden Plaza Hotel Project

Aureon has announced a $5,000 Ripple Effect grant award to the Fort Dodge Community Foundation for the Warden Plaza Hotel project. The Ripple Effect grant application was made by the Foundation to request financial assistance in connection with the architectural planning and feasibility study services for the renovation project. Other partners engaged in the planning phase include the Community Foundation, the city of Fort Dodge, the Fort Dodge Fine Arts Association.

West Liberty Partners with Eastern Iowa Community College for a Creative Workspace

Liberty Communications of West Liberty, Iowa, inspired a $5,000 matching Ripple Effect grant for theWest Liberty Regional Learning and Cultural Center.

Sully Telephone Association Receives 2016 Ripple Effect IMPACT Award

Aureon, the new name for Iowa Network Services (INS), has named Sully Telephone Association as the recipient of the 2016 Ripple Effect IMPACT Award. This award recognizes economic development leadership and investment in the community and was awarded to Sully Telephone for its assistance with a USDA pass-through loan and DOT RISE grant for Sully's water and street improvements. These improvements were instrumental in helping facilitate Janco Industries' (Janco) expansion into the Sully Business Park in September of 2015.

Clayton County Development Group Receives Ripple Effect Grant

Iowa Network Services (INS), located in West Des Moines, Iowa, announced the award of a $2,500 Ripple Effect grant to the Clayton County Development Group (CCDG) in Elkader, Iowa. The INS grant was matched with another $2,500 by Alpine Communications, the city's full-service telecommunication provider. The grant will help fund the development group's efforts in completing a county-wide housing needs assessment.
